Ice Sculptor Tom Gerlak doesn't waste time thinking about his ephemeral art form. Here today and gone tomorrow. He holds the saw with steady hand and pierces the ice.
Water and ice chips fly in all directions. Smaller blocks of ice fall away and a form begins to emerge from what, seconds ago, was nothing but a transparent monolith.
Karina Loffee,

Tom, Thanks for the wonderful ice pieces, the White Sox Spring Training logo was great, and the cowboy boot at our Stardance party was exactly what I was looking for.
We wanted to Wow them and you delivered the WOW.
